Our well known financial services client is seeking an experienced SEO professional to fill the role of Ecommerce SEO Specialist

Location Markham/Richmond Hill area

Compensation $55 – 60k plus an excellent benefits plan

The mission of the eCommerce SEO Specialist is to identify, recommend, and manage the implementation of improvements that enhance the corporate website. This includes maximizing the volume of inbound organic traffic from search engines to our website. This is accomplished through a combination of on-page and off-page techniques, including link building, metadata sculpting, site speed optimization, content strategy and more. This role also includes web content management, managing vendor relationships, researching online trends, and working with/leading cross-functional teams to ensure the success of our website.

Reporting to the Manager Online Experience, your responsibilities will include:

  • Identifying, recommending and managing the implementation of projects and improvements that the company’s current and future corporate website
  • Create and implement SEO strategies to improve search rankings and lead generation.
  • Continually revitalize and optimize website content for stronger SEO ranking.
  • Keeping up to date with latest SEO initiatives and applying these learnings.
  • Actively be aware and understand the continual evolution of industry best practices and A/B testing.
  • Managing vendor relationships.
  • Working with/leading cross functional teams to ensure the success of our web-based product.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Degree/diploma in related field (ie: web design, digital experience, content management, communications, user experience) or relevant work experience.
  • 2+ years of SEO experience with a proven track record of improving overall site traffic, conversion and web analysis.
  • In-depth knowledge of keyword research and understanding of SEO strategies, and keyword optimized content.
  • Solid understanding of website tools such as Google Analytics, SiteCatalyst and SEOMOZ.
  • Excellent skills in content creation working together with copywriter.
  • Proficient in HTML, CSS for content editing and various programming languages.
  • Experience with TeamSite or other CMS systems.
