Role Purpose:

As an Account Director you will be responsible for attainment of financial goals and team management. You will collaborate with colleagues to provide clients with an expansive array of customized data solutions targeted and focused on the success of your clients and work to provide insights and thought leadership enabling clients to set pricing strategies, launch new products and determine what products they ultimately see on the shelf and online.  Your role is aimed at achieving the highest levels of client satisfaction, while delivering or exceeding on target revenue goals.

Principal Accountability:

  • Directs the activities of a sales team to achieve/exceed the assigned revenue and growth goals in assigned accounts or sales territory.
  • Takes proactive role in contract strategy and develops strategy for expanding scope of existing contracts and identifying new business and win-back opportunities.
  • As required, may lead negotiations in renewing multi-year contract(s) within assigned accounts.
  • Develops relationships with key executives and decision makers within assigned accounts and manages the overall relationship to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Provides leadership to the sales team and coordinates the involvement of internal resources (marketing, consulting, client services) in actively promoting the full QI Portfolio of products and consulting services to anticipate and meet client needs.
  • Ensures that sales team is fully staffed, trained and deployed to maximize sales coverage.
  • Develops and executes account plan(s) and monitors progress and adjusts plan(s) accordingly to consider QI’s new product/service offerings as well as significant changes to business conditions.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work related experience.
  • A minimum of eight (8) years relevant sales or acccount management experience
  • Ability to sell solutions that help our clients meet strategic goals.
  • Demonstrated mastery in data analysis & application to client business issues
  • Proven knowledge of OTC (Over the counter) products and business
  •  Extensive knowledge of QI offerings, customer account management and pharmaceutical industry is required.
  • Problem solving, negotiation, planning, relationship building, presentation, written and oral communication skills are essential.
  • Able to set vision and direction that positively influences outcomes.
