Director, Market Access

The Director – seen to be an “owner of the business” is accountable for the management and the development of the strategy, early engagement, data generation, analyses, communication and execution of unique enterprise-driven initiatives that obtain and improve the reimbursement on public, private and hospital formularies. Reports to the Head of Market Access and is a core member of a therapeutic-specific IBT. The Director must be an inspirational role model who has a proven ability to influence without authority and in bringing a diverse motivated team together. A strong team leader with an entrepreneurial spirit, that is willing to pursue new innovative ideas.

• In collaboration with the Director of Pricing and PLA, supports the initiation, development and
  execution of pricing and contracting strategies that relate to competitive products and new entrant’s
  market position and formulate a competitive response that ensure financial goals are met.
• Accountable for the development of a robust early engagement dossier and its submission/presentation in collaboration with the therapeutic-relevant Medical and Scientific Affairs colleagues and Global Clinical & Market Access Teams
• Oversees the development of Product Listing Agreement (PLA) public and private negotiation strategies in consultation with Director Pricing & PLA and in collaboration with Finance and Sales/Marketing
• Participate as co-lead negotiator (or a delegate of the Director, Market Access) with External Relations team lead
• Minimum bachelor’s degree (sciences, economics, political science or public administration).
  Post-graduate experience (training or degree) in a related field, preferred.
• Expert level experience (10+ years) in pharmaceutical reimbursement / market access
  strategy, including strong competency in health technology assessment and healthcare
  analytics.
• Proven track record for creating and demonstrating value at organization level in specialty
  therapeutic areas
