Manager, B2B Marketing and Communications

Our client, a Not for Profit Association whose mandate is to represent and further the interests of various businesses and stakeholders within the Construction industry, is seeking a talented and experienced  Manager, Marketing and Communications

Reporting to a VP, the purpose of the Manager is to direct, lead, and manage a 2 person marketing and communications team leading to enhanced membership engagement, growth in revenue of online products and services, increased organization awareness, and improved market share for Canada on behalf of this particular industry vertical

Salary: 75 – 85k

Location: Markham

Responsibilities

  • Assists in the development and execution of the organization’s vision, Strategic Plan and related Business Plans
  • Develops and executes Marketing Plans for all products and services meeting budget and strategic goals
  • Prepares and maintains budgets to meet the strategic goals and expectations of the business plans to the benefit of the overall organization
  • Tracks financial revenues and expenses for each line of services
  • Develops and maintains KPI’s for each department of responsibility
  • Manage multichannel marketing of all products and services regionally and nationally – support lead generation activities, membership acquisition and retention – via web, email communications, publications and newsletters, print collateral, events and symposiums, research, etc.
  • Manage all internal and external communications initiatives from public and media relations to social media as well as stakeholder engagement and government relations activities
  • Maintain and preserve the standards of excellence, reputation and esteem of the organization
  • Follows and maintains internal policies and procedures and ensures that there is compliance with all external governmental regulations as applicable.
  • Mentors and supervises direct reports and sub‐contractors to ensure conformance, consistency, high performance and quality
  • Prepares and presents presentations as required
  • Maintains and improves membership/associate value and satisfaction

Job Requirements

  • Degree, diploma or industry recognition in Marketing and/or Communication
  • 5‐10 years’ experience in marketing of B2B online products and/or services, ideally in the area of online courses/training/certification
  • Experience in public relations and corporate communications across a variety of channels from web to email and print collateral
  • Experience in use of social media for marketing products and services
  • Supervisory or management experience of a small team
  • Government relations experience is an asset
  • Excellent communication skills – verbally and written in English
  • French an asset
