Intermediate Graphic Designer
Reporting to the Creative Director of this small but growing and successful branding and package design agency, the position of Intermediate Graphic Designer is accountable for creative innovation and execution of design concepts for a variety of clients in the food, grocery and retail industries.
Essential Job Results:
Reporting to the Creative Manager and under the guidance and leadership of the Art Director, the position of Designer is responsible for:
• Overall design of specific projects from inception to completion (in varying degrees of complexity)
• Working with the Creative Manager to interpret briefing documents and come up with concepts/ideas and following through with designs that meet agreed upon guidelines with respect to budget
• Working closely with others to provide initial design concepts for further review and consideration by the Creative Manager
• Managing changes and bringing any inconsistencies or conflicts to the Studio Director for resolution with the Creative Manager
• Review graphic design changes before handing off for proofreading
• Ensuring designs and revisions have been proofed and reviewed before release

Essential Qualifications:
• A college certificate/degree in Graphic Design/Fine Arts along with previous design experience (3+ years) preferably in an agency environment and related to branding and/or packaging design
• Strong creative background
Proficiency in various computer software packages
• Highly developed interpersonal skills in order to interact in a positive, proactive way with other departments and team members.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
• Demonstrated ability to follow through on assignments and keep other team members informed accordingly.
• Willingness to keep abreast of changes, innovations, etc. in the industry.
• A thirst for learning
• Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle for business purposes
• Ability to travel and acquire required travel documentation (i.e., passport)
• Entrepreneurial spirit
In office position located in North York area of Toronto/GTA
Salary range $60 – 75k depending on experience
